Tech Talk: Geospatial data for research

Geospatial data for research is the topic of the Tech Talk on Friday, 4 August, in RCC's seminar room at UQ St Lucia.
Five speakers are lined up for the Tech Talk:
- Dr Marta Yebra, from Australian National University, will discuss the Australian Flammability Monitoring System
- Kathryn Hooton, from the Australian Bureau of Statistics' Geospatial Solutions branch, will guide understanding of the 2016 Australian Statistical Geography Standard as a tool for integrating and analysing data.
- From Geoscience Australia, Belle Tissott, Joseph John and Martin Capobianco will provide the ‘need to knows’ about eCat.
The talks, from 3pm–4pm, are followed by networking and discussion at the seven Tech Talk hub locations around Australia, including UQ's.
